Finish your fucking thesis
Finish Your F***ing Thesis
Because research doesn't have to be this hard.
Hi! I'm Kerryn, your research coach and fellow idiot. Coming from a non-academic family, I felt I had to learn everything from scratch when moving between degrees. The dissertation was a thing I didn't initially get, but, over the years, I not only succeeded in my own academic ambitions, but have helped hundreds of students across disciplines achieve theirs using focused strategies.
These strategies have been reworked into workshops and resources that have helped students in multiple stages of their research journey. I am a strong believer that anyone can write a good piece of research with structured guidance (and only a little bit of pixie dust).
Upcoming Events
This seminar explores how researchers can align communication goals with audience interests, develop an authentic voice, and choose effective methods for engaging diverse audiences. Participants will learn to develop their "elevator pitch": the basis for informing any audience.
This seminar explores practical project-management methods for translating complex research and dissertation work into a clear, achievable plan. Participants will learn to map dependencies, set milestones, and account for academic and personal responsibilities while progressing toward submission and publication.
This workshop develops a purposeful approach to selecting and critically reading research literature, from setting reading goals to assessing evidence and argument. Participants will explore article structure and practical tools for appraisal, literature organisation, and stronger scholarly writing.
